As a long-time professional artist, participating in shows from Key West to Marquette, Michigan I have seen a lot of road. Over thirty years of creating art pieces large and small, and facilitating the sales work involved in making a living as an artist, I have defined who I am. Good or bad, crazy or sane, I love the business of art.
The designs and ideas I have chosen are modern themes or subjects I simply find interesting. I use a stoneware clay and my glaze formulations for the primary portions of my art pieces…sometimes adding wood, metal and found objects. The main portion of each finished piece is primarily a sculpted, high fire process.
I was raised and educated in East Central Florida. Although I still call Florida my home, in 2004 I purchased commercial property on M72 west of Grayling. I set up a pottery studio, a home and produce most of my current work in Michigan.
Through the years of producing art work, I am perennially in awe of simply being able to make art and sell it. I am forever grateful to the buyers and patrons that believe my work has value. Thank you for creating a path enabling me to reach out with something I love…the business of art. Thank you!
